First Chhatisgarh CM Ajit Jogi passes away

The first chief minister of Chhatisgarh breathed his last on Friday at the age of 74. The politician was undergoing treatment in Shree Narayan hospital in Raipur after having a cardiac arrest on May 9,2020 and succumbed to his illness at 03.30 pm on Friday afternoon. On the fatal Friday morning Jogi suffered two major cardiac attacks after which the doctors claimed his heath condition as extremely critical.

He was in comatose and was kept on ventilator. His demise was announced by his son Amit Jogi through social media.



Ajit Jogi served as the chief minister of Chhatisgarh from November 2000 to November 2003 in the then Congress Government. In the year 2016, he left Congress and formed Janata Congress Chhatisgarh.
