Complaint against BMC Dy Commissioner, action likely

NC Correspondent

RTI activist Ajay Patidar on Tuesday launched a complaint with Chief Election Commission against L.R. Koli, Deputy Commissioner- Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The complaint states that LR Kohli holds the designation with the establishment department of the BMC since 20-22 years.  Rules specify that deputy commissioners of the BMC are subjected to mandatory inter-departmental transfer every three years. However, sources claim that LR Kohli has been placed with the establishment department since 20 years, which goes against the rules. Further, Ajay also alleged that his after an RTI was filed, Kohli's staff members misbehaved with him in the BMC office . A complaint in this regards has also been filed with the BMC Commissioner. Newscrust possesses a copy of the complaint.

"During this phase of code of conduct when Koli was asked to evaluate the information provided under RTI his staff misbehaved with me and this evaluation order was given by the state information commission", said Patidar.

Despite various attempts to call him. LR Kohli could not be reached for comments.

Complainant speaks:

"It is mandatory for BMC deputy commissioners to get inter-departmental transfers every three years. LR Kohli is with the establishment department since 20-22 years now, this justifies his political connections,"  Ajay said
