Arm peddler arrested in New Delhi

A suspected arm peddler was arrested by the police on Monday in New Delhi.  

The accused was identified as Kalu Sahu (31). He use to bring pistols to Delhi and supply them to criminals in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR).

The police acted on a tip and a trap was laid  Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium flyover. The accused had come there to deliver a huge consignment of illegal pistols to criminals. After the arrest police found 23 pistols in his bag. 

In the interrogation he told the police that he was working as a driver in a private firm in Jabalpur. Last year, he lost his job due to closure of the company, following which he returned to his native village in Madhya Pradesh's Jagathar, where he came in contact with a few persons, who were allegedly peddling arms. 

He also added that he had started  procuring arms and ammunition and supplied them to criminals in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. 

A case has been registered against him and investigation is under process.
