These students are not ordinary...they reunited from overseas for a cause

Bhopal: An investment in knowledge and education pays the best returns. Education is what remains throughout life after one has left schools. It is a passport for better future. Keeping Education as their prime motto – ‘Jitenge har Jang Shiksha ke Sang’ – the ex-student’s of Carmel Convent Sr. Secondary school organized a vehicle rally on Saturday.

Carmel Ex- Students Association (CESA) conducted this rally as a part of the ongoing golden jubilee year celebrations. The rally was flagged off by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Nirmala Buch. "We have been trying to promote education be it privileged or under-privileged.  We also plan to work more in the field of education and I am hoping that it becomes successful. We have also had the support and contribution from COBA (Campaign Old Boy's Association) for this rally. Initially, Carmel was a co-ed school and therefore COBA too supported us," CESA President and IAS officer Anubha Shrivastava said.    

Students residing overseas as well participated in the rally and will also be seen actively participating in the other golden jubilee celebrations of the school. 

“This rally is a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the school. The main objective of organizing this rally is promoting education. Nearly, 250 two wheelers and more than 100 four wheelers, all Ex-Carmalites, participated in the rally, which lasted for more than hour,” Organizer and Vice President of CESA Advocate Sapna Choudhary said.

The rally took off from Carmel school and routed from Security lines square, ITI Govindpura, JK Road, Bharat Nagar, Jubilee gate bus stop, Piplani Petrol pump, Vijay Market square, BSSS College and back to school. The ex-students we seen shaking their legs on latest numbers with full zeal at the entrance of their school after the conclusion of the rally, exchanging hugs and embraces with their school mates.
