BU remains closed unofficially on Foundation Day

Bhopal: Students at Bhopal's oldest Barkatullah University (BU) continue to face the wrath of the irresponsible management, who observed an unofficial holiday on Tuesday, citing Foundation day of the University.
“We were not informed that the University will not be operational on Tuesday. We came to the University only to see the doors of the department shut,” a student requesting anonymity said.
However, unmoved over the trouble caused to the students, University officials stated that even though it is not announced officially that the University remains closed, every year on this day.
“There is a foundation day programme in the varsity followed by lunch for the student and faculty members. The administrative wing remains closed, but no formal circular is circulated, neither any notice is displayed,” a faculty requesting anonymity said.

Interestingly, though it was not a public holiday or a government holiday, the Public Service Guarantee wing of the University too was closed, making it difficult for official correspondence.
“I had to collect Transfer Certificate for a relative of mine  but the administrative wing of the varsity was closed. There was no official announcement that the varsity will remain shut,”  Ajay Patidar said.
