CESA commences Golden Jubilee year celebrations at Carmel Sr. Secondary School

Bhopal: Ex- carmalites relived their school days in a day long sapling plantation drive organized by the Carmel Senior Secondary School’s first alumni association Carmel Ex-students Association (CESA) on Sunday. The drive marked the onset of year-long celebrations of the school’s Golden Jubilee Year.
 
Plantation Drive:
Clad in different shades of green, the ex-Carmelites began with a sapling plantation spree chanting slogans of ‘each one each tree’, planting more than 50 Neem trees in the open ground within the school campus during the drive.
“We decided to keep our dress code green since we are trying to increase greenery in the environment,” Vice-President of CESA and advocate Sapna Chowdhury said.
 
Website Launch:
The sapling plantation was followed by a website launch of CESA. Former Principal of the school and member of the Local Manager Sister Ancilla and Principal Sister Anupa launched the website amongst the presence of more than 60 alumni in the school premises itself.
“The website is an attempt to connect maximum of our class mates, seniors and juniors to CESA. We have a lot of friends who are presently located abroad. Website will be a convenient medium f0r us to connect with them as well and co-ordinate for the further events,” President of CESA and IAS officer Anubha Shrivastava said.
 
CESA office:
The day also saw the inauguration of CESA office, in the school building. “I feel proud to allot CESA an office space in the school campus and it feels great that the students who are our bank-balance are working so hard to celebrate the school’s golden jubilee,” Sister Ancilla said while inaugurating the office.
 
Events to come
CESA will be conducting yearlong programmes to mark the school’s golden jubilee. “We are creating social and educational awareness campaigns. CESA will conduct student’s parliament and holding lectures on career guidance. As of now we planning to conduct lectures on nutrition, leadership and stress management. The lectures will be given by the alumni only,” Anubha Shrivastava added.
 
For a Social cause:
Following the office inauguration, the ex-carmalites conducted sapling plantation drive in Government Concept School Bhopal, as a part of their social awareness campaign. ​
